Pimpri Chinchwad, 9th October 2024: A young man sitting behind the motorist driving a Bullet motorcycle lost his hand in an incident on the Alankapuram to Dehu Phata road. The incident occurred on Tuesday, 8th October, around 7:30 PM on the Alandi-Dehu Phata road.

Reportedly, while chasing a four-wheeler and attempting to overtake it on the left side, the youth lost his hand from the shoulder after making contact with an electric pole.

According to police information, the four-wheeler slightly collided with the Bullet from behind, resulting in the shifting and bending of the vehicle’s nameplate. This led to an argument between the Bullet driver and the four-wheeler driver, which was later resolved by traffic police.

The motorist of the Bullet reportedly called others to the scene. One individual mounted his Bullet and began pursuing the four-wheeler. Witnesses say they were kicking the four-wheeler, urging the driver to stop, but the panicked car driver did not halt his vehicle. As the Bullet driver attempted to overtake the car from the left, the young man sitting behind struck his hand against an iron electric pole on the side of the road, severing it at the shoulder.

Due to severe bleeding, the young man was rushed to the hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Even after the accident, some youths continued to pursue the four-wheeler driver, who was later confronted at Dehu Phata. Reports indicate that the car was vandalized, and the four-wheeler driver was slightly beaten. The Dighi police are conducting further investigations.
