Pune: Young Girl Accidentally Hangs Herself While Playing On Makeshift Swing
Pune, 19th June 2023: A heart-wrenching incident occurred in the Ambegaon area of Katraj, where a seven-year-old girl accidentally hanged herself while playing with a makeshift swing made of a rope and towel attached to a window.
The young girl, identified as Aditi Dattatray Kulkarni, resided in Malharinagar, Ambegaon, Katraj. Aditi was engrossed in her play when the unfortunate incident took place. With her parents at work, her grandmother was present at home. Aditi, being an only child, was playing on a swing attached to a window using a towel and a rope. She lost her balance and became entangled in the noose.
Upon hearing her grandmother’s desperate cry for help, neighbours rushed to the spot. They managed to untie the noose and swiftly took her to the hospital. Despite immediate medical attention, she passed away before receiving treatment.
The Bharti Vidyapeeth police station has registered a case of accidental death in connection with the incident.
