Pune: Women Realtors must stay updated, overcome construction field challenges – Reddy

Pune, 3rd August 2024: “The traditional construction business method has now undergone drastic changes and many direct and indirect factors such as changing laws, regulations, enactments, plans, redevelopment projects, taxation, digitalization, AI technology etc. are directly affecting the real estate sector. Therefore, it is essential to stay updated and vigilant to address these evolving challenges”, said G. Ram Reddy, Secretary of CREDAI National.

He was speaking at the Femicon 2.0 conference organized by Women Wing of CREDAI Maharashtra. More than 150 women developers from all over Maharashtra participated in this two day conference held at Nashik. Later, prominent women realtors Dr. Dipali Gandhi, Meenakshi Jhamtani, Shraddha Mantri, and Sapna Rathi were bestowed with special awards for their exceptional work in the construction field.

“Today women are at the forefront in all sectors, including construction and are breaking the ceilings in a male-dominated sector which are traditionally associated with the field”, remarked Pramod Khairnar Patil, President of CREDAI Maharashtra.

Present on the occasion were Anant Rajegoankar, Vice President of CREDAI National and Chairman of the Real Estate Development Academy Committee; Sunil Kotwal, Vice President of CREDAI Maharashtra; Vidyanand Bedekar, Honorary Secretary and Youth Wing Chairman Gaurav Thakkar; and Rupa Shah, Coordinator of the Youth Wing and Women’s Wing of CREDAI National. The conference covered in-depth discussions on real estate, politics, media, marketing, finance, and current trends in real estate.

The Famicon conference founders Deval Soparkar and Pallavi Matkari-Runwal, both discussed the opportunities available for women in the construction sector. MLA Madhuri Misal and Pooja Misal, Founder of SMEF’s Brick Group of Industries, emphasized the importance of education and skills for all classes, especially women. Women and Child Welfare Officer R. Vimla shared her journey before and after becoming an administrative officer and provided guidance on policies and schemes for women entrepreneurs. Savita Agarwal of the Youth Wing shared her unique experience transitioning from a doctor to a developer. Nita Shivdasani of Waterfield Advisors, Murali Krishnan of Spears, and Sara Jacob of Trine Holdings discussed investment opportunities. Shruti Patil gave a detailed presentation on the importance of AI. Realtor Ujjwala Hawre, architect Rakhi Takle, and Sangeeta Dhaygude and Sumit Mudiraj also spoke on the occasion.
