Pune: Woman Sets Husband On Fire Following Dispute Over Daughter’s Admission To School, Case Registered
Pune 27th July 2023: In a shocking incident reported in Yerawada, a woman was arrested for setting her husband on fire following a dispute over her daughter’s admission to school. The incident took place on Tuesday and the husband has sustained severe burn injuries in the incident and he has been admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
According to police, the accused woman is a second wife of the victim and they have a five-year-old daughter. On Tuesday, the couple had a dispute over admitting their daughter to a school. The fight further escalated after which the woman poured kerosine on her husband and set him on fire.
The victim was immediately rushed to hospital by his relatives and he is being treated for the burn injuries. The victim’s relatives have lodged a complaint against the accused woman in the matter and police have booked under attempt to murder and other relevant sections. She has been arrested by Yerwada police in the matter. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
