Pune: Woman Duped Of Rs 57 Lakh With MHADA Flat Bet

Pune, 28th May 2022: A woman has been defrauded of Rs 57 lakh in a bid to get a flat from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). A case has been registered by Vishrambaug police against one in this case. Santosh Pawar (Medha) is the name of the accused.

The woman and the accused Santosh knew each other. The lure was shown to the woman that he would get a flat under the MHADA scheme. After that, he took Rs 41 lakh 68 thousand from the woman online from time to time. He also took gold jewelery worth Rs 16 lakh from her.

Meanwhile, Pawar did not give the woman a flat. The woman then asked him to return her money. Then he lured her into a marriage promise. Promising to take care of her with her child, the woman was dragged into the trap. Pawar took their intimate photos and threatened to post pictures on social media if she told anyone about this.

The frightened woman has lodged a complaint with the police and the matter is being investigated by the Vishrambaug police.
