Pune : Woman Dies After Hit By PMPML Bus On Tilak Road, Driver Booked
Pune 17th August 2023: In a tragic incident reported at Tilak Road, a 52-year-old person died after she was hit by a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) Bus. The incident took place on August 5 at around 5:30 pm near Sahitya Parishad Bus Stop on Tilak Road.
According to the police, the deceased identified as Mangal Mahdev Gothe (52) a resident of Ambil Odha Vasahat area was crossing the road after she deboarded the bus. The PMPML driver who failed to notice her on road hit her in which she was seriously injured and later died at the hospital. The woman’s son has lodged a complaint with police in the matter.
A case has been registered at Vishrambaug Police Station under sections 279, 304 (a) and 338 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with sections 184, 119/177 of the Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
