Pune: Wild Boar Rampage in Yerwada Leaves Residents in Panic

Yerwada, 26th February 2024: The residents of Mother Teresa Nagar in the Gadital area of Yerawada faced a sudden scare this morning when a wild boar entered the vicinity. The boar, making its way into the pig settlement, bit several citizens, causing panic among the locals.

Upon hearing the news, local social activist Daniel Landge and his team swiftly contacted Yerwada’s pig control services to capture the feral pig. Despite deploying their full resources and efforts, capturing the elusive wild animals proved to be a challenging task.

The wild boars continued their rampage, entering the Lakshmi Nagar locality through narrow alleyways and biting several citizens. This spread a sense of fear throughout the area, prompting immediate action. The professionals tasked with capturing the pig worked tirelessly and skillfully, eventually trapping the wild boar using nets.

This timely intervention brought immense relief to the residents of the area, as it prevented a potentially disastrous situation. The exact entry point of these wild boars into the populated area remains unknown.
