Keshavnagar, 6th November 2022: The housing societies in Keshavnagar area of Pune city have put up posters demanding basic amenities like roads, water, street lights, garbage collection and drainage line.

Even after six years of merger with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), their condition has not improved. The roads are still narrow and filled with potholes while over 10,000 flats have been built in the last 10 years.

According to citizens, PMC earns over Rs 100 crore in revenue from the Keshavnagar residents but does not provide proper services.

Now the citizens have decided to form Keshavnagar Residents Welfare Association to put forth their grievances before the authorities. They have also started a campaign to register all the residents as voters here. To amplify their demands, they are also trending #justiceforkeshavnagar on social media like Twitter.
