Pune: Wanowrie Police Register Case Against Two-Wheeler Driver for Obscene Behaviour Towards Woman Doctor

Wanowrie, 2nd September 2024: Pune’s Wanowrie Police have registered a case against a two-wheeler driver who behaved obscenely with a woman doctor. The incident occurred at the Golibar Maidan Square in the Camp area.

A case has been filed against Vivek Anil Shelar (age 30, a resident of Shantinagar, Wanowrie). The woman doctor complained to Wanowrie Police Station.

According to the complaint, the doctor was riding her two-wheeler when Shelar, coming from the opposite direction at high speed, collided with her. After the collision, when the doctor confronted him, Shelar verbally abused her and acted indecently. He then got into a fight with her and threatened to kill her. A case has been registered against Shelar for molestation and making death threats. Police Sub-Inspector Pawar from Wanowrie Police Station is leading the investigation.
