Pune: Wakad Police Investigate Rs 82 Lakh Fraud Case Involving Development Firm and Alleged Embezzlement

Wakad, 8th August 2024: A case was registered with the Pimpri Chinchwad Police yesterday against a couple and another man due to financial fraud involving a development firm. The fraud amounted to over Rs 82 lakhs and occurred between 1st April 2022 and 2nd September 2023, in the Rahatani area under the jurisdiction of the Wakad Police Station.

Sandeep Krishna Aalam (age 53, resident of SB Road) has complained to the Wakad Police Station. The case has been filed against the couple Popat Murlidhar Natkar (age 50) and Nirmala Popat Natkar (age 45), along with Gorakhnath Ramnath Shindade (age 35), all residents of Walhekarwadi.

According to police reports, Popat Natkar, in collusion with the other accused, defrauded the complainant’s Vision Developers and Builders firm by diverting Rs 82,25,370 to his account. Police Sub-Inspector Pote from Wakad Police Station is investigating the matter further.
