Pune: Wakad Man Kills Friend Over Affair, Arrested in Beed District
Wakad, 14th September 2024: An incident occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad where a husband killed his friend, suspecting him of having an immoral relationship with his wife. After the murder, the accused fled the scene. A murder case has been registered at the Wakad Police Station, and the absconding accused has been arrested from his village in Beed District.
The incident took place near Dhangarbaba Temple on the Kalewadi Phata to Tapkir Chowk road in the Wakad area. The arrested accused is Balu Vitthal Salve, and the deceased is Ali Ansari. Both the accused and the deceased were good friends and painters.
According to the police report, Balu suspected Ali of having an immoral relationship with his wife. Driven by this suspicion, Balu killed Ali by crushing him with a block of cement. After the murder, Balu fled to his village.
The police received information about a body found in a pool of blood near Dhangarbaba Temple. When they arrived at the scene and inquired in the area, they identified the deceased as Painter Ali Ansari. The police solved the crime within 12 hours using CCTV footage, evidence at the scene, and intelligence. The investigation revealed that Balu Salve was the perpetrator. Based on technical information, the police tracked Balu to his native place in Beed, where he was arrested and taken into custody.
