Pune: Virat Kohli Fan Breaches Security Cordon To Meet Him On Ground During IPL Match

Gahunje, 10th April 2022: Going to the ground during the IPL cricket match in Pune has cost a spectator dearly. In this case, the youth was handcuffed by the Pimpri Chinchwad police on Saturday.

The name of this spectator is Dashrath Rajendra Jadhav (26),a resident of Satara district.

A five-feet high fence has been erected outside the main stadium to prevent spectators from entering. He crossed over to Virat Kohli, shook hands with him and was apprehended by the police while he was running toward Rohit Sharma. The incident took place around 10.30 pm on Saturday.

According to police, the match between RCB and Mumbai Indians was played at the MCA Cricket Ground in Pune on Saturday. Cricket fan Dashrath could not resist the temptation to go to the ground during the match. Dashrath crossed the fence towards Virat Kohli, shook hands with him and ran towards Rohit Sharma, when he was apprehended by security guards and police.

He was brought out of the field. As soon as he came out of the field, Dashrath got into a fight with the police following which an FIR was registered against him at Talegaon police station. He has been charged for obstructing public servant from discharging official duty.
