Pune, December 7, 2020: Final year Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) students who either got zero marks or performed extremely poorly during online exams can take a breath of relief, as the university has issued an email address where all the affected students can send their grievances.

This action was taken when activists from Yuvak Kranti Dal (Yukrand) staged a protest today and demanded the SPPU management to declare an official email address where students can report their issues to.

Protesting against the varsity, students raised slogans and displayed posters which read, “Let us study vice-chancellor”, “When will we get justice?”,’We want Justice”, “It’s your mistake but why are students suffering”, “Students are the future of our country”, “When will justice prevail?”, and “SPPU is dangerous than Corona”.

As many as 80 students gathered at the SPPU main building and protested for four hours, after which SPPU registrar Prafulla Pawar came to the protest ground and exchanged dialogues with the protesters.

Seeking justice right away, Yukrand marched to Examination Director Mahesh Kakade’s office in demand of an official circular and an email for grievance redressal. The demands were accepted and an official email ID has been given.

The official circular released by the SPPU varsity states, “The University has taken note of all such complaints received and as per the decision of the Board of Examiners and Assessment, the revised results of approximately 5 to 6 thousand students will be announced by December 15, 2020. In addition to this result, if students have any other problems or complaints, please send the complaints to the e-mail id [email protected] by December 9, 2020.”

Speaking to Punekarnews. in, Kakade said, “We will release the re-revised results in the next 2 days.”
