Pune University Reduces Fees For Academic Year 2021-22 Due To COVID Pandemic

Pune, 19th August 2021: The management council of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has decided to reduce the fees for the academic year 2021-22. The university issued a circular in this regard yesterday.

 

The circular states, “In continuation with the Order No. PGS/676 dated 28/02/2020 and upon the request made by the Department of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, regarding concession in the fees against the backdrop of COVID-19 situation, the proposal for reduction in fees was placed before the Management Council for consideration. The Management Council considered the proposal at its meeting held on 26/06/2021 and constituted a Committee under the chairmanship of member of Management Council Prin. Sudhakar Jadhavar. The committee submitted its report along with details for reduction of fees. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor has accepted the committee report and approved its recommendations.

 

The reduced fees to various courses shall be made applicable by the University Departments, affiliated colleges and recognized institutions of the University for the academic year 2021-22 only, as mentioned in the Appendix ‘A’ give below:
