Pune University Announces Dates For Summer Session Exams In June 2023
Pune, 6th May 2023: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced that the summer session exams for colleges affiliated to the university will be conducted from June 2023. The exams were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Board of Examinations and Evaluation of the University has also published guidelines and instructions for the exams. The university has planned to conduct the exams in regular offline mode. Practical and oral exams for internal assessment have already started in colleges. The practical exams will be held from 2nd to 30th May, while the written exams will begin from June.
This year, first and second-year exams for Arts, Commerce, Science, and Law courses will be conducted at the college level. Final Degree and Post Graduate Degree Examinations for all years will be held at the University level only. For all other years, except the final year of degree in traditional faculty, the examination timetable, question paper, and evaluation will be held at the college level. The principal of the college will have the authority to conduct practical exams, appoint internal and external examiners, and inform the examination department about the list and schedule of exams one month in advance.
The Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation, Dr. Mahesh Kakade, said that the new academic year is planned to start in August, and the examination applications for most courses for the current academic year have already begun. He also urged the students and colleges to complete the application process within the scheduled time to help conduct the exams on time.
