Pune Under Yellow Alert: IMD Predicts Heavy Rain Today and Tomorrow
Pune, 10th September 2024: Today and tomorrow, there are chances of heavy rain in Pune as the city has been given a Yellow Alert by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, starting from 12th to 15th September, the rain will ease. Some mild showers may occur, but no heavy rainfall is expected during this period.
After 2nd September, Pune and the state of Maharashtra experienced a break from the rain. Heavy rainfall has reduced in many areas, though some regions are still seeing showers. The overall amount of rainfall across the state has been decreasing since 12th September. However, the IMD has not yet made an official announcement regarding the withdrawal of the monsoon.
Bhandara, Gondia, and Nagpur have been issued an Orange Alert. Meanwhile, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalna, Nashik, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Parbhani, Beed, Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli are under Yellow Alerts.
