Pune: Two-Wheelers, Trees Fall Victim To Heavy Rains In Ravet
Ravet, 17th April 2023: Pimpri-Chinchwad city faced severe weather conditions with unseasonal rains causing heavy damage. Ravet area in Pimpri-Chinchwad witnessed incidents of trees falling due to the heavy rains, which also caused two-wheelers parked in the area to fall over due to strong winds.
The sudden onset of heavy rain and gale-force winds around 5:30 pm caught the citizens off guard and led to a state of chaos. Bike riders were seen struggling to navigate through the rain-soaked roads in several parts of the city.
Mukai Chowk in Ravet was particularly affected by the unseasonal rains, with trees falling behind the traffic police post and several two-wheelers getting knocked over by the stormy winds. The rainfall also resulted in significant damage to the roads and caused flooding in low-lying areas.
The authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution and stay indoors during such weather conditions to avoid any untoward incidents.
