Pune: Two Vehicle Thieves Arrested In Hadapsar; 12 Motorcycles And One Autorickshaw Seized

Hadapsar, 5th October 2023: The officials from Crime Branch Unit 5 of Pune city police have arrested two individuals allegedly involved in vehicle theft and seized 12 motorcycles and one rickshaw from their possession. The arrest took place within the jurisdiction of the Hadapsar Police Station.

The suspects were identified as Sachin Mahadev Kamble, 21, a resident of Vadki Nala, Haveli taluka, Pune, and Ganesh Dutta More, 19, a native of Umarga in Dharashiv district. The duo was apprehended while driving a motorcycle without a number plate near Garwa Hotel, Fursungi.

Upon bringing them to the unit office for preliminary questioning, the suspects revealed information that led to the seizure of 12 motorcycles and one autorickshaw, collectively valued at Rs 5,20,000. The accused have been linked to multiple offences of vehicle theft.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ramnath Pokle, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amol Zende and ACP Satish Govekar. The team inlcuded Police Inspector Mahesh Bolkotgi, Assistant Police Inspector Krishna Babar, Police Sub-Inspector Avinash Lohote, Chaitali Gapat, and police personnel Akbar Sheikh, Vinod Shivle, Ramesh Sable, Amit Kamble, Pramod Tilekar, Daya Shegar, Pratap Gaikwad, Shashikant Nale, Swati Gawde, Pallavi More, Ashruba Morale, Daud Syed, Rajas Sheikh, Prithviraj Pandule, Pandurang Kamble, Shahaji Kale, Chetan Chavan, Vilas Khandare, Rahul Holkar and Sanjay Kumar Dalvi.
