Pune: Two Large Barricades Collapse at Katraj Bridge Construction Site; No Injuries Reported
Katraj, 11th September 2024: Two large iron barricades from a bridge construction site in Katraj Chowk collapsed yesterday (10th September) around 6:30 pm. Fortunately, due to a traffic signal at the chowk, no injuries or accidents were reported.
Pune political leader Vasant More addressed the incident on his Facebook page. He explained that when the barricades fell, police constables stationed at the chowk acted swiftly, immediately managing the situation to prevent any injuries or accidents. The police temporarily stopped traffic at the signal and cleared the road.
More also shared that he arrived at the scene along with senior police officials. The authorities promptly instructed the concerned bridge construction team to take necessary action. He expressed his gratitude to the police and other officials for their quick response and vigilance.
In his Facebook post, More urged citizens to remain cautious and alert in the area. He encouraged everyone to act responsibly and report any hazards to prevent future incidents.
