Pune, 27th August 2024: Along with the minor accused in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident, the blood samples of the minors seated in the back of the Porsche were also swapped. Regarding this, the Pune City Police’s Crime Branch has recently made two arrests. These two accused individuals are now in judicial custody at Yerawada Central Jail. The investigation has revealed that these accused conspired with the previously arrested individuals to facilitate the blood sample swap of the minors.

Aditya Avinash Sood (age 52, resident of Ghorpadi) and Ashish Satish Mittal (age 37, resident of Viman Nagar) have been sent to judicial custody. As their police custody term expired yesterday, they were produced in court. The matter was heard by Sessions Judge BP Kshirsagar.

Adv. Rajendra Kumbhar, representing the government, argued that evidence of the crime has been destroyed, government documents tampered with, and bribes made to illegally release a minor from the court process. He stated that further investigation is needed to identify additional suspects with the help of the arrested individuals and requested a five-day police custody for both accused.

The defense team, including Adv. Abid Mulani, Adv. Seol Shah, Adv. Dhvani Shah, and Adv. RV Katore opposed the request. After hearing both sides, the court sent the accused to Yerawada Jail. Advocate Mulani stated that a bail application will be filed tomorrow.

Has the accused made any financial transactions in the form of bribes to alter the blood sample? Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Govekar requested that the accused be remanded for five days to investigate the matter. Judge Kshirsagar posed several questions to the police about the investigation, but some questions went unanswered. Judge Kshirsagar emphasized that neither the accused nor any other suspects should be held in custody without valid reasons. He demanded clarity on the nature of their crimes, the progress of the investigation, and future investigative steps.

Questions raised by the court include:

* What investigation was conducted on the accused during the six-day police custody?
* Did the accused commit this crime to protect the minor car driver or the two children seated in the back?
* If the friends in the back had been drinking, would they have been charged?
* If the friends’ blood does not show alcohol, how would this benefit the minor car driver?
* Why were the fingerprints of the friends taken?
