Kondhwa, 17th August 2024: In response to a series of complaints regarding traffic congestion caused by Tribeca Mall, the Kondhwa traffic police division, under the leadership of Police Inspector Kumar Ghadge, has issued an official notice to the mall’s management. The move comes after mounting frustration from local residents over the persistent traffic jams and parking issues that have plagued the area since the mall’s opening.

A formal complaint, addressed to the Pune Police Commissionerate and the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), highlighted the severe traffic disruptions caused by the influx of vehicles to Tribeca Mall. The complaint, penned by concerned citizen Jaymala Dhankikar, criticized both the Pune Police and the PMC for their lack of action in addressing the growing chaos. Dhankikar’s letter detailed the adverse effects of the situation, including increased traffic congestion, reduced pedestrian safety, encroachment on public spaces, and the negative impact on local businesses.

Despite repeated attempts to engage the Traffic Branch, Dhankikar noted that previous communications had gone unanswered. The letter demanded immediate intervention, calling for effective traffic management, enforcement of parking regulations, expansion of parking facilities, and consistent monitoring to ensure compliance.

Responding to the complaint, the Kondhwa traffic police, led by Inspector Kumar Ghadge, have now formally notified the Tribeca Mall management of the issues. The notice requires the mall to take immediate steps to alleviate the traffic problems and adhere to the city’s traffic and parking regulations. Failure to comply may result in further legal action.
