Pune : Traffic Police Ban Movement Of Heavy Vehicles In City During Ganeshotsava, Know Routes
Pune 16th Sept 2023: The traffic police department of the Pune City police has issued an advisory to ban the traffic movement of heavy vehicles on the majority of important routes in the city during the Ganesh festival. The movement of heavy vehicles will remain banned for round the clock on these routes between September 16 till the last immersion day.
The officials have appealed to the citizens to take note of changes and the commuters have been advised to take alternate routes during this period. The decision has been taken to ensure that traffic jams are not reported in the city during the festival.
List of Routes that will remain closed for heavy vehicles :
* Laxmi Road – Sant Kambir Chowk to Alka Chowk
* Kelkar Road – Phutka Buruj to Alka Chowk
* Tilak Road – Tilak Road Chowk to Alka Chowk
* Shastri Road – Senadutta Chowky to Alka Chowk
* Karve Road – Nal Stop Chowk to Khandojo Baba Chowk
* FC Road – Khandoji Baba Chowk to Dir Chafekar Chowk
* JM Road – S G Barve Chowk to Khandoji Baba Chowk
* Shivaji Road – Gadgil Statue to Jedhe Chowk
