Pune: Traffic Diversion At Chandni Chowk To Continue Till July 21

Pune 15th July 2023: The traffic diversion issued by the traffic department for the vehicles travelling via Mumbai-Bangalore Highway to felicitate the ongoing work at Chandni Chowk has been extended for another six days. In the latest advisory issued by the traffic department, the officials have informed that the diversion will continue for three hours at night every day till July 21.

 

According to the latest advisory, the diversion will be implemented between July 15 and July 21 between 00:30 am (midnight) and 03:30 am (morning). Earlier, the diversion was implemented till July 15 as the officials of National Highway Authority Of India (NHAI) were expected to complete girder installation work till then. However, since the girder installation is still in progress the officials have decided to extend the diversion issued for traffic movement at Chandni Chowk at night.

 

The traffic diversion will be as below :

 

1. The heavy vehicles coming from Mumbai will stop at the Taloja Toll Plaza on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Somatane Toll Plaza on the old Mumbai-Pune Highway.

 

2. Light vehicles coming from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the old Mumbai-Pune Highway will travel to Katraj via Bhujbal Chowk-Rajiv Gandhi Bridge Road, and Chandni Chowk Diva Hotel.

 

3. Heavy vehicles will be directed to use the Bhujbal Chowk – Rajiv Gandhi Bridge Road between the Kivale Bridge and Raya Chowk, for traffic management on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the old Mumbai-Pune Highway.
