Pune: Traffic Changes Suspended At Pune University Chowk Due To Congestion
Pune, 16th February 2023: The planned changes to traffic flow at Pune University Chowk have been suspended due to congestion in the area.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had announced changes to the traffic pattern at Pune University Chowk from 14th February to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. However, the changes have been temporarily suspended due to heavy traffic congestion in the area.
The changes were expected to affect commuters travelling from various parts of the city towards Shivajinagar, Aundh, and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The PMC had advised commuters to use alternative routes during the implementation of the changes.
Officials from the PMC stated that they will be closely monitoring the traffic situation at Pune University Chowk and will resume the traffic changes once the congestion has reduced.
The traffic changes were aimed at easing traffic flow and reducing congestion at one of the busiest intersections in the city. However, the suspension of the changes due to heavy traffic congestion has caused inconvenience to commuters expecting a smoother traffic flow.
