Pune: Tiger Sighted In Sinhagad Area? Forest Department Alerts Citizens

Pune, 14th October 2022: Tourists near Kondhanpur of Sinhagad fort claimed they saw a tiger in the area. They approached the Haveli Police Station with this information. The Forest Department and the Police Department are investigating the matter.

 

Authorities have appealed to citizens to be alert in this regard. A team from the Forest Department has been sent to spot the animal.

Pravin Vaichal and Pooja Vaichal, residents of Warje Malwadi, went for a walk at Sinhagad. While coming home in the evening, around 5:30 p.m., Pravin Vaichal saw a tiger crossing the road near Golewadi, some distance from Kondhanpur. Both were very scared and screamed. He immediately informed other tourists about this.

 

Deputy Conservator of Forest (Pune) Rahul Patil said that a team searching for the animal. Precautionary measures have been taken.
