Pune: Three-Year-Old Girl Dies On The Spot as Iron Gate Falls On Her; Incident Captured on CCTV
Ganesh Nagar (Bopkhel), 1st August 2024: A shocking incident has come to light from the Ganesh Nagar near Bopkhel in Pimpri Chinchwad. A three-year-old girl died on the spot when an iron gate collapsed on her while other children were closing the gate. This incident occurred yesterday.
The name of the deceased girl is Girija Shinde. Her family lives in the Ganesh Nagar area of Bopkhel. Girija was playing with her friends around noon yesterday when she ran away with a doll in her hand. At that moment, a boy who was playing with her pulled the iron sliding gate at the entrance of a house.
Due to a malfunction in the gate, it fell on Girija’s body. When the other children saw the heavy iron gate collapse on her, they ran away and went to their homes to report the incident. The people from the house and surrounding area then lifted the gate, finding Girija lying underneath. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, and the footage has now gone viral.

She was immediately picked up and taken to a nearby hospital, however, the doctor pronounced her dead on arrival. The incident has been reported to the police.
