Pimpri Chinchwad: Three more Coronavirus patients found in Rupeenagar Nigdi

Pimpri, 27 April 2020: The number of Coronavirus patients in the city is increasing day by day. Three more people from Rupeenagar area were reported to be affected by the disease today. So far 16 infected patients have been found in Rupeenagar area.

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) had on Sunday (April 26) sent samples of 116 persons to NIV Pune for testing. Two men, aged 28 and 26, and a 25-year-old woman, all residents of Rupeenagar area, reported positive. hey has contracted corona from high risk contact. On April 24, reports of 12 people in Rupeenagar area had come positive.

The number of patients currently undergoing treatment has reached 57. So far, 89 people have been infected with Coronavirus. Twenty-eight people have been discharged from the hospital after being cured and a total of four have died so far.

The entire PCMC areas have been sealed off from midnight on April 19, i.e. from April 20, to prevent the spread of corona infection in the city. Today is the eighth day. During this period, 28 patients have been added. Patients are undergoing treatment at YCM hospital in Pimpri and Bhosari Hospital.

 In neighbouring Pune, till 7.30 pm yesterday the number of positive patients increased to 1139, five patients had died while undergoing treatment. Six patients were discharged after being cured. There are still 44 critical patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Till now total 72 patients have died while 165 have been cured and discharged. There are 902 active patients in Pune city now.
