Pune: The Balans inaugurate Shri Vitthal-Rukhmini Mandir in Navi Peth, restored in memory of Smt Indrani Balan

Navi Peth, 3rd July 2024: The 138-year-old Shri Vitthal-Rukhmini Mandir in Navi Peth was restored in the memory of Smt Indrani Balan. Punit Balan Group president and Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan and his wife Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan dedicated the temple to the people.

The Punit Balan Group undertakes various educational, religious and social activities across the country. The Shri Vitthal-Rukhmini temple in Navi Peth is very old and also has deities of Shri Hanuman, Shri Dnyaneshwar Mauli and Shri Tukaram Maharaj.

Devotees from across the city regularly visit the temple to express their devotion. There is a huge crowd of devotees every month on Ekadashi, particularly on Ashadhi Ekadashi and Kartiki Ekadashi.

The renovation work of the temple was done in the memory of Smt Indrani Balan by Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan. It was inaugurated by Punit Balan and his wife Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan by performing the Puja and Aarti. Various spiritual programmes were held on the occasion. Trustees of the temple, prominent citizens of the area, devotees, former Mayor Ankush Kakade and people from various walks of life were present.

I feel lucky that a devotee like me who has faith in Shri Vithuraya and Rukhmini gets the opportunity to restore and dedicate the ancient temple. I bow to the lotus feet of Shri Vithuraya so that he blesses me to render such service in the future too” said Punit Balan, president, Punit Balan Group.
