Pune: Ten Fire Brigade Stations To Be Built Under PMRDA Limits; Rs 150 Crore To Be Spent On Infrastructure

Pune, 30th September 2024: There was a demand to set up a Fire Brigade station within the limits of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA). Finally, in the authority meeting, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde approved a total of 10 fire stations, one each in Daund, Purandar, Mulshi, Shirur, and Khed talukas, two in Maval and three in Haveli taluka.

PARDA limits include 814 villages. There are many industrial companies within the jurisdiction along with this, a large-scale urbanization is taking place as well and needs the extra fire stations.

In case of an accident, fire brigades have to be called from fire stations in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad city. As the distance is long resulting in the delay. Therefore, there was a demand to establish a Fire Brigade station within the limits of the PMRDA.

Reservation was made for these centers on 34 seats within PMRDA limits. It has been decided to set up a Fire Brigade and Management Centre at ten locations.

₹150 crores is expected to be spent on the same. In this, work will be done regarding the fire station building, staff accommodation, vehicles, and equipment.

The fire station will be located at the following places:
(Taluka – Village)

Daund – Kedgaon

Shirur – Shikrapur

Maval – Kanhe

Purandar – Dive

Maval – Patan

Mulshi – Mahalunge

Khed – Yewalewadi

Haveli – Wadachi Wadi, Autade-Handewadi, Manjari-Wadachiwadi
