Pune: Tempo Carrying Buffaloes Overturns On Kalyan- Ahmednagar Highway, Eight Buffaloe Die On The Spot

Junnar, 10th January 2023: On the Kalyan-Ahmednagar highway, the tempo carrying the buffalo overturned in the area of Pimpri Pendhar in Junnar taluka of Maharashtra. Eight buffaloes died in the accident and two buffaloes were seriously injured.

Two people including the driver were injured. The incident took place today at 5:30 am.

Tempo-carrying buffaloes from Mumbai on the Kalyan-Ahmednagar highway came to a turn in Sainagar in the Pimpri Pendhar area when the driver lost control of the tempo, and it overturned on the gravel adjacent to the road. In this accident, out of ten buffaloes loaded with tempo, eight buffaloes died on the spot while the driver and another one were injured, informed Otur police.

With the help of local villagers, both the injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Alephata. As soon as the information about the accident was received, police constables Datta Talpade, Sandeep Bhote, Sham Jaybhay, and Amol Palve reached the spot under the guidance of Assistant Police Inspector Parashuram Kamble of Otur Police Station and brought the situation under control.

Meanwhile, veterinary officers Dr Mangesh Khillari and Dr Kailas Ludharkar inspected the buffaloes and declared the eight buffaloes dead. Otur police are conducting a further investigation regarding the critical cases.
