Pune: Tanker Carrying Liquid Oxygen Crashes Into Road Divider, One Injured
Pune 28th July 2023: In an accident reported near Nigdi on Thursday, a tanker carrying liquid oxygen crashed into a road divided near Madhukar Pawale Bridge. The tanker was going to Mundhwa in Pune from Murbad, Thane, said officials.
The incident took place on Thursday night when the driver lost control over the vehicle and crashed into the road divider. The helper in the tanker identified as Sukhdev Singh Chauhan (48) sustained injuries in the incident and he was provided primary treatment on the spot.
Soon after the incident was reported to the administration, fire bridge officials, police and disaster management team of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation rushed to the spot. The officials of the firm that owns the tanker also reached the spot and confirmed that there was no leakage of the oxygen from tanker. Another tanker was called from Taloja to recover the liquid oxygen.
