Pune: Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) Signed an MOU with Bajaj Auto Limited

Pune, 21st July 2023: Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bajaj Auto Limited, at the SIT Campus, Lavale, Pune.

Under the terms of the MOU, Bajaj Engineers Skill Training (BEST) will cover the gap between academics and industries and provide skill training of six months and four months of programs to passed graduate and diploma engineering students, respectively.

The aim of this initiative is to make them industry ready and employable.

The emphasis will be on hands-on training on Mechatronics, Robotics & Automation, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Manufacturing Improvement Systems, and Motion Control & Sensor Technology.

Bajaj Engineers Skill Training (BEST) will give the training, and industry experts will share their knowledge and expertise with the graduates.Scholarships will be provided to the deserving students. Interest-free bank finances will be available for needy students, where the principal will be paid after getting the employment.

Mr. J.R Pathare, Chief HR Symbiosis Society, and Mr. Chandra Prakash Tripathi, Chairman, Jankidevi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha (JBGVS) signed the MoU in the presence of Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Principal Director, Symbiosis and Pro-Chancellor Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. Rajni Gupte, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. M. S. Shejul, Registrar, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. Ketan Kotecha Director, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, Mr. Sudhakar Gudipati Vice President, CSR at Bajaj Auto Limited, Mr. Ramesh Venugopalsamy, Head Skilling, CSR at Bajaj Auto Limited, esteemed faculty of SIT and Bajaj Auto limited executives.

Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Director of SIT, quoted, “We are delighted to partner with Bajaj Auto for the skill development of graduate and diploma students across the nation. This collaboration will assist these students in gaining practical skills that will prepare them for employment in the industry”.

Mr. Chandra Prakash Tripathi, Chairman, Jankidevi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha (JBGVS) stated “We are happy to partner with SIT for the skill development of engineering students. This collaboration is in line with our commitment to the ‘Skill India’ initiative of Govt. of India, and will aid us in developing a skilled workforce for the industry.”
