Wakadewadi, 15th April 2021: The Maharashtra state government has granted permission for state transport (ST) to remain in service during the 15 days curfew. This decision provides relief for many people in the city who want to return to their native places to avoid inconvenience.
As 15 days strict curfew has been imposed in the state from 15th April to 1st May, many students, workers are returning to their hometown claiming that the financial cost of living in Pune is not affordable. Also, during this time they can carry the farm work and study in their village.
Buses have been running towards Barshi, Latur, Osmanabad, Satara, Kolhapur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Goa, and Nagpur from the bus depot. Many travelers were seen wearing masks as travel without masks was banned.
Over the last two days, extra trains have been released as per the demand of the passengers. The instructions of the government are followed. Drivers, conductors are vaccinated and a Covid test is mandatory.
“We also ensure that no passenger will travel by standing. If the number of passengers decreases in the next two to four days, the number of buses will be reduced. Buses are currently running according to the needs of the passengers”, said Janardhan Londhe, in charge of the bus depot.
