Pune, 11th May 2021: Though the number of virus-infected patients is decreasing in the city, yet as a preventive major strict lockdown will be implemented from noon and every vehicle on the street will be checked.
Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has issued an order to implement stricter lockdown from noon itself. The numbers of check posts have also been increased.
Currently, many senior police officers including police commissioner Gupta and joint commissioner of police Dr Ravindra Shisve personally visit the checkpoints at various areas in the city. The work is going on smoothly at some points but there are some drawbacks and it has been conveyed to the concerned officer, said Gupta.
The police administration has appealed to the citizens that they must complete their work before 11 am and return home immediately.
