Pune: Stray Dogs Attack Child in Chakan, Shocking Incident Caught on Video
Chakan, 14th September 2024: A small child was attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Pune’s Chakan area, specifically in Kadachiwadi. The attack, which occurred while the toddler was playing on Yash Park Road, was captured in a shocking video that has since gone viral on social media.
According to local reports, the child was surrounded and attacked by the stray dogs, knocking him to the ground. The severity of the attack resulted in the toddler sustaining broken ligaments. Fortunately, quick intervention by family members saved the child from further harm.
This incident has sparked growing concern among residents, as it follows an increasing trend of stray dog attacks in the region. The issue is compounded by the rising number of leopard sightings and attacks in the northern parts of Pune district. The residents have raised demands for immediate action to address the problem of stray dogs, particularly those scavenging near garbage bins and posing a direct threat to children.
