Pune: State Govt Approves Proposal To Set Up Trauma Care Center In Wagholi

Pune 12th July : The state government has given approval to set up a trauma care center at Wagholi in Pune. The proposal for same was approved as a special case on June 28 via official General Resolution (GR) by the government. This according to officials will help improve and provide emergency health care service to the accident victims mainly on Pune-Ahmednagar Highway.

The officials have already identified a land owned by Zila Parishad in Wagholi which will soon be transferred in the name of Public Health Department to sat up the trauma center.

Currently accident victims are rushed to Sassoon General Hospital, Aundh District Hospital or private hospitals for the treatment. Hovewer, now once the trauma care center in Wagholi is established the city will have one more such hospital for the treatment.
