Pune: Spontaneous Response Of Citizens To Save Vetal Hill Trek Campaign
Pune, 28th May 2023: The Vetal hill issue in Pune has been a topic of discussion for the last few months. As the road is being built on the hill, there is opposition to this project. Against this backdrop, Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray party chief Pravin Dongre organized a Vetal hill trek on Sunday (28th May).
The trek ended at Maruti Mandir on the hill. The trek was organized to understand the importance of the hill and create environmental awareness.
Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray party chief Gajanan Tharkude, Sanjay More, Ram Tharkude, and Suryakant Pawar, Akash Renuse, Abhijit Dhadave, Nikhil Orse, Yuvraj Parekh were present.
Along with this, Vetal Hill action rescue committee and environment lovers Sarang Yadwadkar, Dr Sumita Kale, Pradeep Ghumre, Adv Asim Sarode guided participants.
On this occasion, hoarding stating ‘Save Vetal Hill’ were also seen in the hands of all environmentalists.
