Pune: Speeding Truck Crashes Through Divider, Causing Traffic Chaos In Yerwada
Yerwada, 3rd July 2024: A speeding truck broke through a road divider and veered into oncoming traffic in front of Don Bosco School on Loop Road in Yerwada, Pune. The incident took place at around 4 am.
Despite the severity of the crash, no injuries were reported. The impact was so intense that the driver was found sprawled across the front windshield of the truck. The vehicle remained at the spot until approximately 9:30 AM, causing significant disruption during the morning rush hour.
Upon receiving information about the accident, officers and staff from Yerawada Police Station, along with Senior Police Inspector of the Traffic Branch Meenal Supe Patil, called a crane to remove the truck from the road.
The accident was attributed to the failure to observe the speed breaker on the road. The crash led to a traffic snarl at Golf Club and Shastrinagar Chowk, adding to the morning congestion.
