Pune: Spate of Vehicle Vandalism Strikes Yerawada Again, Two Detained

Yerawada, 27th February 2024: In a recurring wave of vehicle vandalism, twelve vehicles were ruthlessly vandalized in the Ramnagar area of Yerawada on Monday night. Two suspects have been nabbed in connection with the incident.

The vandals targeted vehicles parked along the road at Bhori Chawl near Tarakeshwar Mitra Mandal in Ramnagar, wielding an iron crowbar and a hockey stick to wreak havoc. They damaged three cars, one school van, three tempo rickshaws, and five two-wheelers.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjay Patil, Senior Police Inspector Santosh Patil, and Crime Inspector Ashalata Khapare visited the site, providing directives for a thorough investigation.

Vehicle vandalism incidents have become alarmingly frequent in the Yerawada area, creating a pervasive sense of fear among residents.

Assistant Police Inspector Amar Kadam is leading the ongoing investigation into the vandalism spree.
