Pune: SP College, NMV to reserve 5% of class XI management quota for sports players
Pune, June 11, 2020: Shikshan Prasarak Mandali’s (SPM) Sir Parshurambhau College (SP) and Nutan Marathi Vidyalay (NMV) will be reserving 5 percent of their management quota for class XI for the Sports players.
The admission process will begin after the class X results are announced in the state, informed the SPM regulatory board in a circular issued on Thursday.
A sports management committee will be appointed which would include the principals, SP College Sports Director and three members of the Management Committee.
According to this, students excelling in Cricket, Football, Athletics, Hockey, Gymnastics, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Mallakhamb, Wrestling, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Shooting, Archery, Water Sports, Basketball, Volleyball, Chess, Adventure Sports will be considered for admissions under this quota. Priority will be given to the students who have performed well at international, national, Maharashtra state and district level tournaments and competitions.
SPM Trustees Satish Pawar, Ashok Vaze, CA Ranjit Natu, Principal Dilip Sheth, Ranjit Chamale have come together to formulate this policy to encourage good players to continue their progress.
