Pune: Southern Command Ethics Bowl 2024 Finals at Army Public School Khadki

Khadki, 11th July 2024: Ethics Bowl provides opportunities to students representing various schools to present their views about ethical and complex philosophical issues after researching and analysing the case studies given to them. Their rhetorical presentation is a reflection of their deep understanding and appreciation of compelling issues that affect numerous people as well as the biome we live in. These matches urge the students to delve into their conscience and collaborate with each other while forming their opinions about the rights or wrongs associated with the case.

The much-awaited final rounds of the Command Level Ethics Bowl Match were hosted by APS Khadki at the Rane Auditorium at B.E.G and Centre on 8th July 2024.

The programme began with Principal Rupan Jaswal addressing the August audience. Komal Seth Regional President Southern Star AWWA was the Chief Guest of the event.

Before embarking on the day’s programme Lord Ganesha was invoked through an Odissi dance recital. The choir group too touched everyone‘s heart with its soulful rendition.

Three teams labelled as Team A, B and C, for the match, represented APS R.K. Puram Secunderabad, APS Gwalior and APS Jhansi. Each team comprised 6 members, 2 of them being researchers and the others, presenters. Sudakshina Mukherjee, PGT English of APS Khadki acted as the Moderator.

The eminent judges were Maj. Gen. Shashikant Pitre, Shailendra Aglawe, an accomplished legal professional and Indradeep Kaur Nanda, from The  Times of India.

The judges posed thoughtful questions to each team and their responses were evidence of their insightful opinions.

All the teams were appreciated for their laudable performance and Team B, APS Gwalior was declared the champion of the show.

The Chief Guest’s inspiring words were not only greeted with cheer and awe by the participating students but by the mentors too for today’s education policy aims at honing not just the logical thinking, and academic prowess of our learners but also building their open-mindedness and deliberative thoughtfulness to help them think through difficult and controversial cases.
