Pune: Son Assaults Mother Over Property Dispute In Pashan

Pashan, 1st February 2024: A family dispute escalated into violence, resulting in a mother being assaulted by her son. He wanted the house to be registered in his name. The incident, which occurred in the Nimhan Mala area of Pashan, has shocked the local community.

A case has been registered against four individuals, including the son, in connection with the assault. Kapil Deepak Sakat, along with his wife Payal Kapil Sakat, both aged 26 and residents of Nimhan Mala, Pashan, have been named as the primary accused. Additionally, the mother-in-law and brother-in-law of Kapil Sakat have also been booked in the case. The complaint was filed by Yashoda Deepak Sakat, aged 55, a resident of Janwadi, Gokhalenagar, at the Chatushringi police station.

According to police, the dispute stemmed from a disagreement over the registration of a house. Yashoda and her son Kapil, along with his wife Payal and other family members, had been embroiled in a struggle regarding the property registration process. Tensions reached a boiling point two days ago when a heated argument erupted between Kapil and his mother, Yashoda.

During the altercation, Kapil resorted to violence, allegedly striking his mother on the head with a chair. The brutal attack resulted in injuries to Yashoda, leaving her in a grievous condition. Police Sub-Inspector Jadhav is further investigating the case.
