Pune: Social Security Department Raided Two Hookah Bars in Kondhwa; Goods Worth Rs 65,000 Seized

Kondhwa, 2nd November 2022: The Social Security Department raided hookah bars named ‘Levitate’ and ‘The Break Room Hotel’ located at Roof Top Kondhwa in the Clover Hill Plaza building. The department took this action against two accused on Tuesday (November 1). Rs 65, 210 worth of goods has been seized in this operation.

 

Vijay Kumbhar, Senior Police Inspector of the Social Security Department, received the information that hookah parlours were being run along with tobacco products banned by the government in two hotels namely Levitate Hotel and The Break Room Hotel in the Kondhwa area. On his instructions, the hookah parlour was raided and the accused were detained.

 

 

At the hotel, the team saw two people smoking hookah from a hookah pot on a table. As the accused said that he was running the hookah parlour in the said hotel, when he was asked about the license to run the said hookah parlour, he said that he did not have any kind of license.

 

Vijay Kumbhar along with Assistant Police Inspector Ashwini Patil, Rajendra Kumawat, Ajay Rane, Pramod Mohite, Manisha Pukale, Anna Mane, Hanmant Kamble, Amit Jamdade and Pushnendra Chavan carried out the operation.
