Pune: Six Gas Cylinders Explode, Disaster Averted in Manjri
Manjri, 29th October 2023: Around 6:00 p.m. today, a frightening incident unfolded in Manjri’s Belhekar Vasti as six gas cylinders exploded in an illegal godown. Despite the deafening blasts and thick plumes of smoke, a major disaster was narrowly averted.
Quick response from the Fire Brigade prevented the blaze from spreading further and, miraculously, no injuries were reported.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the explosion and to assess the safety protocols at the gas cylinder storage facility.
