Pune: Shiv Sena Leader Pramod Nana Bhangire Unveils Ambitious Plans For Mohammadwadi Area

Kondhwa, 8th February 2024: Pramod Nana Bhangire, former corporator and current chief of Pune city Shiv Sena, spearheaded the Bhoomi pujan ceremony for the extension and road widening of Anandvan Road on Wednesday. This significant development initiative comes as the area has witnessed remarkable growth over the past few years, emerging as a preferred neighborhood for families in South Pune.

Fondly addressed as “Nana,” Bhangire showcased his unwavering commitment to transforming this once secluded area into a bustling neighborhood with well-maintained roads, footpaths, enhanced local transport connectivity, and solutions for water and sewage issues during his tenure.

With the recent approval of ₹10 crore for road widening, Nana shared his vision for further infrastructure enhancement in and around Mohammadwadi. The Bhoomi pujan ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents of various societies, including Gemini Park, Kavita Shah, Maria J, Rehana Shaikh, Pravin Bhai, Zakir Ansari, Ankur Joshi, Atique Pathan, Archana Kohinoor, Sunshree, Supreme Greenwoods Elena Paul, Edwin Paul, Sridevi Kulkarni Paul, Ganga Florentina Vinay Gupta, Sadik Khan, Ganga Kingston Nadeem Inamdar, Hussain Bhai, and others.

Members of the Anandvan team, Kumar Uncle, and Parisar representatives expressed their appreciation for the comprehensive development efforts.

Encouraged by the ongoing progress, the ladies from Gemini Park urged Nana to consider establishing a garden in the amenity space adjacent to the society, a proposal promptly accepted by Bhangire. He also reassured the community about resolving the perennial water scarcity in Mohammadwadi within the next 3 to 4 months, with operational overhead tanks boasting a capacity of 25 lakh litres.

Residents commended the installation of CCTV cameras and the increased police patrolling, contributing to enhanced security in the area.

Notable personalities present at the event included Elena Vijay Paul, Maria Johar, Rehana Shaikh, Kavita Shah, Bhagyashree Abnave, Shridevi Kulkarni, Devangi Pandya, Audrey Lawrence, and Jugal Mirpuri from Gemini Park and Supreme Green Woods society. Elena Paul, a teacher from Supreme Green Woods, was also among the attendees.
