Bibvewadi, 16th May 2023: In Panchami Hotel Chowk at Parvati Darshan on Satara road, two chambers of the sewage channels are blocked and water mixed with oil is flowing on the road. Due to this, vehicles fell due to the water and some citizens were injured in the accident.

At the beginning of the BRT route in the Chowk, two sewage chambers are facing each other, the chamber overflowed and water mixed with oil came on the road, causing accidents as the vehicles slipped.

On the curving road of Panchami Hotel, drivers did not anticipate the spill resulting in many motorists falling. Some vigilant citizens put sand on the water and barricaded the chamber. The drivers foresaw the slippery road and avoided further accidents.

In the BRT route near the ST Colony bus stand in the Chowk, the chamber has collapsed and a big pothole has been formed. PMPML bus drivers have to avoid the two chamber potholes in the Chowk and the pothole in the BRT route while driving the bus at great speed.

Panchami Hotel Chowk is bordered by three zonal offices of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) such as Bibvewadi, Sahakar Nagar Dhankawadi, and Kasba Vishrambaug. It is seen that many times the works are hindered due to the boundaries, in which the BRT route works are mostly done by the head office, hence, the work is delayed due to lack of coordination.

Suryakant Valmik, Junior Engineer of Kasba Vishrambaug Ward Office informed that there are main chambers of sewage channels in Panchami Hotel Chowk, and the collapsed chamber will be repaired immediately. He also stated that the information about the chamber on the BRT route will be given to the head office.
