Pune: Senior Citizen Killed, Three Injured On Saswad Road After Bus Hits Car
Pune, 3rd May 2023: Tragedy struck when a private bus collided with a car near Vadki village on Saswad road, leaving a senior citizen dead and three others injured.
The deceased has been identified as 85-year-old Vijay Gundu Shirgure from Hadapsar, while the injured include Mayur Vijay Shiragure, his son Samyak, and his sister Jyoti Jitendra Gundappankar.
Anusha Vijay Shirgure, who is the daughter of the deceased, has filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station. According to the complaint, the Shirgure family was on their way to Pune when the speeding bus hit their car at the foot of Dive Ghat near Vadki village. The impact of the accident was severe, resulting in Vijay’s untimely death.
Despite the severity of the accident, the driver of the private bus fled the scene. A case has been registered against the driver and the police are currently searching for him. The investigating officer, Police Sub-Inspector Dabhade, is handling the case.
