Pune: Sassoon Hospital Aims to Provide Affordable Organ Transplant Surgeries in Near Future
Shivajinagar, 8th April 2023: Sassoon Hospital aims to offer all types of organ transplant surgeries at low rates in the near future, according to Dr Naresh Zanjad. He emphasized the importance of educating all medical college students, nurses, and staff on the latest information about organ transplantation and spreading awareness to the public.
As part of the Organ Donation Awareness Campaign by the Medical Education and Drugs Department, Government of Maharashtra, a campaign was launched at BJ Government Medical College on 7th April. The campaign, which included a video on human organ donation and an awareness oath, was inaugurated by Dr Zanjad and attended by college faculty, students, hospital nurses, and staff. The student council also organized competitions on posters, rangoli, speeches, and essay writing to raise awareness on the issue.
