Pune: Sand Trader Shot at in Kondhwa, Two Detained
Kondhwa, 16th September 2024: A sand trader was shot at in the Salve Nagar area of Kondhwa, Pune, around 1 pm today. Initial police investigations suggest that the attack may have been linked to past enmity.
The victim has been identified as Dilip Gaikwad, a local sand supplier. According to the police, unknown assailants, reportedly arriving in a vehicle, opened fire on him, discharging two to three rounds. The incident occurred in front of Salve Garden in Kondhwa.
Two individuals have been detained at the spot, and the process of identifying the assailants is ongoing.
Dilip Gaikwad, who sustained serious injuries, has been rushed to a nearby hospital. Both the Kondhwa police and Crime Branch teams are investigating the case.
