Pune: Rural Police Starts Campaign To Clean Forts In Maval

Maval, 27th April 2203: Tourists and fort lovers regularly visit the forts of Maval taluka in the lap of Sahyadri. To maintain the regular cleanliness of the historical forts, the campaign of ‘Warsa Swachhatecha, Mawla Shivrayancha’ will be undertaken by the rural police. The campaign was launched from Shri Ekvira Devi Fort in Karla on Wednesday (April 26).

 

To maintain the cleanliness of the historic forts and caves of Maval taluka of Pune district, the rural police have taken up the campaign.

Satyasai Karthik, Sub Divisional Police Officer of Lonavla informed that a cleaning campaign will be conducted in the area of ​​forts one day a week.

 

Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal and Additional Superintendent of Police Mitesh Ghatte will implement this campaign. The campaign was launched from Shri Ekvira Fort. The Buddhist caves there will be cleaned.

 

Police, students, social workers, NGOs, lawyers, and journalists have participated in the cleaning campaign of forts and historical places in the Lonavla area. Karthik mentioned that in the second phase of this drive, a cleaning campaign will be conducted one day a week in the area of ​​forts and tourist places.

 

Lohgad, Visapur, Tikona, Tung, and Rajmachi forts along with Karla, Bhaje Leni, and Lonavla tourist spots like Tiger Point, Lions Point, Rajmachi Point, Bhushi Dam as well as Lonavla city area will be cleaned. Karthik said that this campaign has been started to preserve the heritage of historical places and preserve them. He appealed to citizens to participate in this campaign.
